How We Can Work With You
Tax law is particularly challenging because it is always changing. The laws that were applicable just a few years ago for business and personal taxes may now be completely different. The Wright Firm LLP has you covered with our team of law and tax experts- including our own co-founder, Paul Wright who holds degrees in both fields and is also a licensed CPA.
Starting a new business, while exciting, is a lot of work. To help ensure success and a strong start it is important to properly take care of the legal aspects of your new company. Before you open your proverbial doors, you’ll need to complete numerous forms on both a state and federal level. At The Wright Firm LLP, we are happy to help you create, grow and protect your business dreams. Whether you need help registering for taxes or are facing problems with shareholders, we are here to help.
Leaving something behind after death either for one’s children or in one’s memory is important to many individuals. However, it will take a bit of work and paperwork to ensure that your wishes are carried out after your passing. At The Wright Firm LLP, we can help with a variety of estate planning services. We can also help you draft a will, trust, powers of attorney, healthcare documents and an estate plan to ensure that your plan becomes a reality.
Personal injuries come in many forms and in varying degrees of severity. You could be injured at work, at the store, in your vehicle or even due to a medical mistake. While not all injuries are life-changing, most will require medical visits and recovery expenses. In cases where the injury was due to the fault of another party, it is best to seek legal counsel as soon as possible. Hiring a qualified lawyer will help hold individuals or companies that caused the incident responsible and get you the compensation you need to help cover your medical bills, expenses, and missed work hours during your recovery.
If a loved one has passed away and left you an estate, money, or property, you may face Probate court. Probate is essentially anything to do with the estate of a deceased person including determining the legitimacy of a Will and heirs. Probate proceedings are probably the last thing on your mind after the death of a loved one and the Texas Probate Code can be challenging for inexperienced individuals. Hiring an experienced lawyer to help you deal with the technicalities while you come to terms with your loss and comfort other family members will help ease your burden. We also routinely handle guardianship matters.
Family law often involves children. In this case, sensitivity and care for the child’s needs should be a priority. The goal of the laws is to place a child in ideal conditions. However, defining the ideal situation is rarely simple. Whether you are seeking child support, custody, or a modification, fighting to protect a child, looking to give a child a home through adoption or need to protect a child through family law proceedings, The Wright Firm is here to help.
Divorce is often a difficult and emotionally tempestuous time. This is perhaps why Texas law requires a mandatory 60 day period from the time that divorce is filed to when it is finalized. Many times, divorce can be settled without a formal trial. In some cases, however, legally leaving your partner can result in a lengthy and difficult legal battle. Whether you need someone to help you in court or simply want to ensure that everything is filed correctly, hiring an experienced lawyer is often the best course of action.
Filing for bankruptcy is often a scary and difficult process. There are two different types of bankruptcy. Chapter 13 Bankruptcy involves creating a plan to help repay debts. This type is best suited for people with income that may not be high enough for the required payment schedules. Chapter 7 Bankruptcy involves liquidation of assets to pay off debts. While bankruptcy isn’t ideal, it is important to have all the information if you have decided to file, which is why you’ll need a good lawyer to help you navigate the rules.
Criminal proceedings can be stressful. Everything you do can impact your case, which is why you need an experienced lawyer to fight for your rights.
