Associate Attorney

My goal is to develop comprehensive estate plans for my clients to relieve the burden on the loved ones they will eventually leave behind, and to protect the assets that my clients have spent their lives earning.

Katie Robinson is a probate and tax associate attorney for The Wright Firm, L.L.P., who works primarily from our Dallas office. She joined the Firm in April 2014, after working throughout Texas. Mrs. Robinson has focused her practice in probate, estate planning, and trusts, as well as tax law. If it’s complicated, Katie handles it.

Mrs. Robinson obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Science from St. Edward’s University and proceeded on to South Texas College of Law; which might explain her love of combing through the finest of details. During law school, Mrs. Robinson interned with a family law firm in Austin, in addition to participating in the school’s Live-Client Clinic, in which she prepared estate plans for low-income clients.

After graduation, Mrs. Robinson worked in the Houston area as both a contract attorney in probate litigation and a contract grant writer. Her experience in these areas provided her with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex and voluminous documents in order to better serve her client’s needs.

Mrs. Robinson also has experience working within a major banking corporation as a part of their Estate and Trust Settlement Team. As a Trust Administrator, Mrs. Robinson managed the settlement of 70 trusts and estates and oversaw a comprehensive research project analyzing state death tax laws for the Northeastern region of the United States. Mrs. Robinson supervised the timely payments of decedent debts, estate expenses and death taxes as well as reviewing and preparing the accountings and inventories for estates. The best part?  She actually enjoyed doing it.

That’s why we are pleased to have her at The Wright Firm, L.L.P., where she has continuously graced us and her clients with her extensive knowledge of trust, probate, and tax law to the Firm.

Outside of the office Katie and her husband enjoy traveling and camping throughout the United States, especially in the Grand Canyon National Park. She also enjoys visiting her family, baking, and cheering on her adopted-hometown teams the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets.
