Jennifer grew up in frosty Duluth, Minnesota, but this is her second stint in Texas. After graduating from The University of Texas School of Law with Honors in 2005, she and her family returned to Minnesota, where she had a very diverse practice. She first served as a Staff Attorney for a District Court Judge in the First Judicial District of Minnesota, and later opened her own solo practice. In her private practice, continued to serve the Judicial system be serving as court-appointed counsel in a variety of areas, including child protection, guardianships, and civil commitments, while focusing the remainder of her practice on family law and bankruptcy.
Jennifer returned to Texas just as fast as she could and has been practicing almost exclusively family law here since 2014, including divorce, custody, child support, and adoptions. She feels blessed to be able to use her education and skills to assist folks through what can so often be one of the most challenging chapters of their lives.
Jennifer graduated from The College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University, cum laude, with a BA in Psychology, which often comes in handy in her current line of work. She spent a semester abroad studying in Galway, Ireland through the study abroad program.
Between undergraduate and law school, Jennifer worked in both the public sector, in social services and the private sector, in corporate operations. She lives in North Texas with her husband, son, daughter, two large black dogs, and a geriatric cat. When she isn’t at one of her children’s sporting events…Just kidding, she is always at a field of one kind or another!
