BOARD CERTIFIED IN FAMILY LAW – TEXAS BOARD OF LEGAL SPECIALIZATION

Texas Board of Legal SpecializationAs a former college athlete, Bradley J. Michelsen does not shy away from competition. A former NCAA Division III Football and Baseball player and a 2002 ASC Baseball Academic All Conference Team member, he knows what it takes to win.

Combine his experience on the playing field, his love for family law, and his work experience with the Texas Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Michelsen is a great addition to The Wright Firm team.

Mr. Michelsen earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Austin College in 2002. He also attended The University of Texas at Arlington and earned a M.A. in criminology & criminal justice in 2007. As an overachiever, he then decided to attend Oklahoma City University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2010. For Brad it just comes naturally. While in law school Mr. Michelsen was the Law Review Articles Editor and on the faculty honor roll.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Michelsen worked for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, Child Support Division in Ft. Worth, Texas. His responsibilities consisted of investigating child support cases, applying administrative and legal remedies when appropriate, conducting negotiation conferences, and locating absent parents. In 2007, Mr. Michelsen was promoted to Program Supervisor.

Mr. Michelsen limits his current practice to family law. We were thrilled when he joined The Wright Firm L.L.P. in 2011.

Mr. Michelsen is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Denton County Bar Association and Family Law Section, the Dallas Bar Association and Family Law Section, and the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association.
