Paul F. Wright is a partner with the firm and the managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office. Paul is a licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. A Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas graduate, he received his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Taxation degrees from the University of North Texas. Paul received his law degree from South Texas College of Law, where he served as an Assistant Note and Comment Editor of the South Texas Law Review. Prior to practicing law, Paul served as a tax professional for a major public accounting firm representing commercial and individual clients in all aspects of tax planning, compliance and controversy at the federal, state and local levels. Publications include: Estate and Gift Tax: Recent Developments, Texas Tax Lawyer (May 2002); Paul F. Wright, Comment, Taxation-Innocent Spouse Provision-Of Erroneous Deductions and Decisions-From 6013(e) to 6015-The Knowledge Requirement And The Erroneous Deduction Quagmire Of The Internal Revenue Code, 39 S. Tex. L. Rev. 845 (1998);. Paul is also a regular contributor to the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes newsletter. Paul is a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas, where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister.
