Shanin Turner

Associate Attorney

Shanin grew up in St Louis, Missouri. But, having now lived in the DFW area for the last 30 years, we consider her a true Texan. She came to The Wright Firm, L.L.P. in February of 2015, after having been a solo practitioner. She graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s List, served as President of the Family Law Student Association for 2 years, was selected for the Annette Stuart American Inns of Court, sat as the Education Chair for Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition, and even interned at the Dallas Public Defender’s Office. Shanin’s British accent isn’t too shabby either after spending a semester abroad studying law at University College in Oxford, England.

At the firm, Shanin practices in the area of family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and adoptions. She enjoys interacting with clients and loves to utilize her many faculties to help them resolve their individual legal needs.

Prior to law school, Shanin served as an educator for 18 years in Plano ISD classrooms. She has three sons and a daughter and lives with her husband in North Texas. When she isn’t watching Scandal or hanging out at home with her 3 puppies, Shanin is an avid traveler who loves to visit Mexico, Italy, France and Great Britain.
