Carolyn Latimer

Associate Attorney

My goal is to find a new balance for my clients. Divorce and custody litigation is a difficult and unsettling experience for every client in their own way. As a family law attorney, I am able to help clients and their families reestablish their lives and attain a new course and balance in their lives.

Carolyn Latimer is a family law associate attorney for The Wright Firm, L.L.P., and works primarily from our Dallas office. While Carolyn was born in Dallas, she actually grew up around the world thanks to her family’s spirit for travel and work within the oil industry. Of course, she got back here as soon as she could.

Miss Latimer graduated early from LSU and was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Kappa Chapter. She attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minnesota. Impressively, she was a recipient of the Larkin Scholarship, worked within the St. Thomas community as a Student Ambassador, and even served as Co-Chair of the Peer Mentor Program and on the Mentor Externship Advisory Committee Board. She further dedicated her time as President of the International Law Association, Social Committee Co-Chair and an active member of the Women Law Student Association. During law school, Miss Latimer worked in criminal defense with private firms and for the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office. At the Public Defender’s Office Miss Latimer worked as an Actual Innocence extern, in this capacity she found her interest in family law.

Outside of the office, Carolyn is an avid LSU Tigers fan and enjoys spending Saturdays in the fall watching her Tigers play. Carolyn has a passion for traveling and exploring the world both within the United States and abroad. Within the legal community, Miss Latimer is a board member for Dallas Women Lawyers Association, member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She makes a mean bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie.
